A watch with a second time zone is of great help to aviators. And it's no surprise that some watches have been developed specifically for this purpose and are designed like traditional pilot's watches.
The best known representative of this genre is certainly the Rolex GMT-Master, developed rolex replica in 1955 in response to a list of requirements specified by Pan American World Airways. At the time, the distinctive rotating bezel was the only option to set the time in the second zone because the 12-hour and 24-hour hands could not be reset independently. The 12-hour hand position could only be reset in one-hour increments after 1982, when Rolex introduced a new movement. Time in a third zone could also be shown by rotating the bezel to match the 24-hour hand, but that meant that the time in the second zone could not be read until the bezel returned to its original position.
